Rava Bhature Chole

#MD26 Soft and fluffy Suji Bhature served with spicy chole is one of my mom’s favourite comfort meals. The bhature turn out light and crispy from outside while staying soft inside. What makes this recipe special is that it is made with simple homemade ingredients and tastes absolutely delicious with hot chole. It is a perfect family meal enjoyed during weekends and special occasions.

Step 1

In a bowl, mix suji, curd, salt and baking powder. Add little warm water and knead into a soft dough. Cover and rest for 20 minutes.

Step 2

Heat oil in a pan. Take small portions of dough and roll into medium-sized bhature.

Step 3

Deep fry the bhature in hot oil until golden and puffed from both sides.

Step 4

For chole, heat oil in a pan and add cumin seeds. Add onions and sauté until golden brown.

Step 5

Add ginger garlic paste, green chilli and tomatoes. Cook until soft.

Step 6

Add turmeric, red chilli powder, coriander powder, chole masala and salt. Mix well.

Step 7

Add boiled chickpeas and little water. Cook for 10 minutes until flavours blend well.

Step 8

Serve hot suji bhature with spicy chole and garnish with fresh coriander.
