Step 1

Wash, peel, and chop ripe mangoes. Blend the pulp into a smooth puree.

Step 2

Add sugar if needed, and a little milk/water for desired thickness. Mix in cardamom powder and soaked saffron.

Step 3

Chill for 30–60 minutes before serving. Garnish with nuts and serve cold (traditionally with puri).
