Fry the brinjals with a pinch of turmeric powder and salt in hot oil till they are brown in color. Set aside.
Dry roast the sesame seeds and make a paste along with 1 green chilli, yoghurt, mustard seeds and grated coconut
In a pan add oil, then add kalo jeere, let it splutter, then add the sesame seed paste and saute.

Add turmeric powder, kashmiri red chilli powder, sugar and salt and mix, then add little water, let the gravy simmer, then add fried brinjals and cook for 1 minute.
Garnish with coriander leaves and green chillies and serve.
