Soya Keema Stuffed Naan

Step 1

In a bowl whisk together plain flour, wheat flour, salt, curd, baking powder and 1 tbsp oil, set aside

Step 2

In a cup add warm water and then add the sugar and yeast. Let it keep for 5 minutes.

Step 3

Once the yeast in activated add it to the flour mixture gradually and knead the dough. Then cover the dough with a wet cloth and let the dough rise in a warm place for 1 hour.

Step 4

Then for stuffing boil the soya granules in water and then chop them in a vegetable chopper to give it granules or keema like texture.

Step 5

In a pan add oil, then add chopped onion and saute, add ginger garlic paste and chopped tomato and let it cook, then add salt, red chilli powder and garam masala powder, add soya keema and mix well, lastly add chopped coriander. The stuffing is ready, let it cool completely.

Step 6

After 1 hour dough will get double in size, pat it to release the air.

Step 7

Make small size balls from the dough, take a dough ball and roll it into small oval shape, place 1 tbsp soya stuffing in the middle and pull the edges of the dough to enclose the filling.

Step 8

Then flatten the dough little bit with hands and roll a little with rolling pin.

Step 9

Heat a non stick tawa, brush one side of naan with water, put the water side on tawa and cook for 3 minutes, flip to the other side and cook till golden brown. In a bowl take butter, add a little chilli powder and chopped coriander in butter and brush the nan with butter and serve hot.
