In a heavy bottomed pan put together milk and rice powder , mix nicely , so that no lumps remain .
Now switch on the gas and cook on low heat , stirring continuously , adding saffron strands also . Cook until it becomes thick , then add sugar , carrot paste , cook further for 6 – 8 minutes .
Sprinkle some elaichi powder .
It is ready to serve .
Serve chilled , garnish it with almond flakes and finely chopped pistachios
