Step 1

Soak the peanuts for one hour .

Step 2

Then peel them and cut into small pieces .

Step 3

Steam the pumpkin pieces, it will take 10 – 12 minutes . Boil the chopped peanuts for 5 – 7 minutes .

Step 4

Grind the pumpkin pieces , green chillies and grated ginger into a smooth paste .

Step 5

Add little water to it .

Step 6

Now heat a pan on low heat and add the pumpkin puree .

Step 7

Cook it until the boil comes and then add peanuts .

Step 8

Cook for 5 minutes and then switch off the gas .

Step 9

Dal is ready , take it out in a bowl and put ghee jeera tadka on top

Step 10

In a mixing bowl combine together kuttu ka atta , rajgir ka atta , salt and ghee .

Step 11

Mix them with your fingertips and then add milk little by little and knead a medium tight dough . Knead it nicely and make equal sized balls . In the meantime heat an appe pan and grease the moulds with little ghee .

Step 12

Now place the balls in each mould , brush them with little ghee .

Step 13

Roast them by turning them regularly, until they become light brown and crispy .

Step 14

The baati are ready to serve .
